Hey Welcome to my site!
I'm an IT Specialist based in Emmaville, in the New England
tablelands of northern New South Wales. I started in IT at 15, back
in 1996 — I often joke I'm older than Google. Three decades across
hardware, servers, full-stack web, VoIP telephony, and business
automation, for enterprise, government, and military clients
(including consulting and support work for HP and Microsoft). Still
care more about the craft than the title.
These days I'm at Taronga Mines Pty Ltd as an Information
Technology Specialist. In my own time I do AI research and
experimentation, and I'm drawn to building technology that's
assistive — tools that actually solve real problems or bridge
real gaps for the people using them. My style is to simplify:
I want software to feel effortless, even for people who don't
think of themselves as technical.
This site is where I keep my writing, projects, and working notes.
